WHAT MAKES YOU A CHRISTIAN

Well, without much talking I guess you know the meaning of the Word “CHRISTIAN”.

In case you don’t and you call yourself a CHRISTIAN then you are fooling yourself. What if the meaning of Christians was KILLERS then you discovered you have been calling yourself a killer?

But don’t worry that’s why we are here for you.

The Word CHRISTIANS were derived from Christ, Christ-Tian which simply means Christlike in other words Followers of Christ.

The name Christian was generated in the bible in Acts 11:26 where the people of Antioch called the disciples Christians.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught many people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Now that you know the meaning of Christians let us proceed to:

Many people misinterpret the word CHRISTIANS, many think that anyone who goes to church is a Christian.

Many say doing the work of God and so on makes you a Christian, but, is that really what it is???. Well, that’s what we are going to find out.

In the Bible, the people of Antioch first saw the lifestyle of Jesus in the disciples and that is what made them call the disciples Christians which means Christlike.

In the book of Acts 4:13

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The lifestyle of Peter and John changed when they encountered Jesus and the people saw it and noticed. That is what made them Christians.

A Christian is someone who possesses the lifestyle of Jesus, not someone who goes to church or someone who pays His tithe not even someone who preaches. But someone who possesses the lifestyle of Jesus.

So Dear brethren your life must testify about Christ before you can be called Christians thank You!!!
